Bob Books, a leading program for learning to read in America, is delighted to present their latest addition to their highly acclaimed series of learning-to-read apps for children aged 3-5, Bob Books Spin and Spell.
Bob Books brings reading to life by helping young children develop early connections between letters, sounds, spelling, and reading words. In the Spin and Spell app, players use a dial to spin letters and complete two- or three-letter words. Early readers learn to differentiate between the beginning, middle, and ending sounds and letters of words. Spin and Spell offers three levels of activities.
Bob Books Spin and Spell is specifically designed to introduce young readers to word families, making spelling easier and more intuitive by connecting words and sounds. Repetition, picture-word association, and focusing on specific parts of the word all contribute to providing young spellers with effective tools for success.
FEATURES
- Players spin the dial to complete a word, focusing on the beginning, ending, or middle sound. Successfully spelled words color in a new picture on the word list. After spelling three different rhyming words, a new word family is introduced. By breaking words down into their beginning and ending sounds, players will master the spelling of 50 new words.
Bob Books Spin and Spell will teach your child how to:
- Make connections between letter shapes, words, and sounds.
- Read and sound out simple words.
- Spell the words they have read.
